Actually, it was more like I was incapable of stopping despite having many other more pressing, but less enjoyable things that I ought to have been doing.
I adore fairytale re-workings in all forms, but the dialogue is exceptional in this one and the ILLUSTRATIONS!!!! They reduce me to incomplete sentences. I love the visual references to the art style from the original Oz books, and all the details you included that prove you've actually read the series, not just the first book (or only the movie).
That drawing would make for a sweet book cover!
